Conscious and Unconscious

Conscious and Unconscious Perhaps the best way to illustrate the relationship between the conscious and unconscious minds is the story of Jason's spring. When he was a boy, Jason used to visit his grandfather's camp, deep in the woods. It was located down in a valley, with the nearest neighbor over a mile away. The camp had no telephone, electricity, or indoor plumbing. When Jason visited, one of his chores was to fetch water from the spring behind the camp. The spring was very shallow, and when he scooped up water, he was only able to fill his pail half full. The pail always scraped along the bottom of the spring and roiled up the debris that had settled there. Then he would have to wait until the water cleared. When Jason tried to fill his pail again, he lost the water he had already scooped up and was only able to fill it to the same level as before. Try as hard as he might, he was only able to fill half the pail. He finally returned to the camp, disappointed at his...

ADO.NET is an integral part of the .NET Compact Framework

ADO is a language-neutral object model that is the keystone of Microsoft's Universal Data Access strategy. ADO.NET  is an integral part of the .NET Compact Framework, providing access to relational data, XML documents, and application data.  ADO.NET  supports a variety of development needs. You can create database-client applications and middle-tier business objects used by applications, tools, languages or Internet browsers. ADO.NET  defines  DataSet  and  DataTable  objects which are optimized for moving disconnected sets of data across intranets and Internets, including through firewalls. It also includes the traditional  Connection  and  Command  objects, as well as an object called a  DataReader  that resembles a forward-only, read-only ADO  recordset . If you create a new application, your application requires some form of data access most of the time. ADO.NET  provides data access services in ...

The 5 most popular Linux distributions

With all that in mind, let's take a brief look at the DistroWatch top five over the last few months. From the bottom up we find: 4:  Debian:  I've never been a big Debian fan -- I much prefer Debian-based distributions such as Ubuntu and Mepis  -- but lots of other people are. Debian,  which just turned 19 , remains important not just because it is the foundation for many other Linux distributions, but because year after year it continues to be loved by its users. 4:  Fedora: But while Debian isn't one of my favorites, I confess I really haven't cared for Fedora, Red Hat 's community Linux distribution, in recent years. Well, it's not so much Fedora,  it's the fact that it uses GNOME 3.x  -- the desktop interface I love to hate. Regardless of how I feel about it though, Fedora clearly has its fans. And, if you work on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) development, it's a really wise idea to keep a copy of Fedora on hand so you can ...

Pause to think about life as the years flow under the bridge

Pause to think about life as the years flow under the bridge MANUAL works 30 years without stopping, educates his children, gives them a good example, devotes his entire time to work, and never asks: “Is there truly any meaning to what I am doing?” He only concerns himself with the thought that the busier you are, the more important you become in the eyes of society.

Now, send free SMS through Gmail chat

Now, send free SMS through Gmail chat It is finally here. The free SMS service right from your Gmail chat window.  Almost a year after the service was introduced in the United States and many other countries, the service has now been made available to Indian users.
